Anna - 6 Months Old

I can't believe our little baby girl is 6 months old already...the time has flown by even faster with her than the other two and she's getting to be such a big girl! Lately she's really trying to sit up and can do it when she's on our bed or if someone's sitting behind her. The bouncy seat is going to have to be put away because she will not lay back in it...she tries to sit up and ends up doing crunches...it's actually pretty funny to watch. She's been eating rice cereal for the past couple of months and has just started on baby foods this week...we've done bananas and sweet potatoes so far and she seems to like them both.

Bakin' Brownies

Since Jake was having a hard time waiting for his birthday cake last week we decided to make a batch of brownies instead...he certainly loves sweets...wonder where he gets that??? :)

Jake and Nolan

Jake and his friend Nolan love to play on the mall playground...and Mommies love the fact that it wears little boys out - especially this winter while we've been stuck inside so much!

Kate Gosselin at First Christian

Well the long anticipated and planned for and prayed for kickoff to the CORE series at church happened on March 8th. Kate came, she spoke, she signed books, she left, and all in all the day was a great success. There were tons of people who came to see her speak and hopefully were able to find a church that prays for, plans for, and seeks out the lost in and around our community. Although I was very excited about seeing Kate and thought that her message was one that related to many if not all that were there, the main highlights of the weekend for me were the hundreds of FCC folks who turned out all weekend (morning - very early in the morning, day - all day Saturday, and all through the night - in the tent) to make sure things ran smoothly and to make sure that people who came to visit that Sunday would find a church that works together and makes things happen...no matter how big the job...the other highlight was meeting the mother of a J&K+8 fan who had hoped to be able to come see Kate, but passed away in January from ovarian cancer. This mother was kind enough to share her story in an introduction video for Kate and touched many with her story of faith even in the loss of her daughter. God is doing amazing things at First Christian and we are thankful for all he is blessing us with!
