Riding at Mandy's

Addison spent the night with Bama and Granddad last night after her softball game and got to go over to Mandy's to go horseback riding this afternoon. She looks like she had lots of fun!

Family Photos from last night...

We took several family photos last night since we were celebrating Aunt Cyndi and Uncle John's 25th Anniversary. Here's a few...

Ashes, ashes, we all fall down!

Jake and Addi had a great time last night at Bama and Granddad's...especially playing "Ring around the Rosey" with cousins Mandy and Loryn...

Jake going off the diving board!

Jake got brave yesterday (with a little help from Mallory) and went off the diving board for the first time. Daddy and Emily were there to catch him!

Cute kiddos eatin' hot dogs...

Addi reading to Nanny, Jake, and Granddaddy

Swimming and Popsicles

Here's some pictures of the kids at our life group swim party last week at the Ingram's. They had a great time and always love spending time with their buddy Reese...I think she's been good practice for Addison on how to take care of her little sister...

Addison's Family Reunion Photography

Addison took some pictures during the Melloan Family Reunion last weekend so I thought I would share...

Thank you Emily!!!

Well Emily was a little jealous that I posted what a huge help her big sister Hillary had been to us this summer so she wanted one totally devoted to her...be careful what you ask for!

By the way, she took this picture of herself and left it on my camera so it was fair game. Thanks for being such a BIG HELP! We love you Emily!!!! :)

Our Little Slugger...

Addi's softball season is almost over...one more game tomorrow night, but we've all had a lot of fun. She's too funny. From losing her cleat one night on her way from 1st to 2nd base (she made it safely since the 2nd baseman was more worried about helping Addi get her shoe than trying to get her out!) to the night she decided to see what the dirt tasted like while playing shortstop (she thought it looked like chocolate - gross!) to her funny way of giving high 5's at the end of the game (she never actually touches anyone, just sort of flies through the line with both arms spread out like an airplane) to her S-L-O-W hustle out onto the field when it's time for her to play defense (always the last one on the field!) to her batting stance (it's just too cute!) to her favorite part of every game (SNACKS!) - she's really had a great season. And James and I (and pretty much the whole family and the Burns girls too) have had a great time cheering her team on. Here's a few pictures from the season. Go Heartbreakers!

Zoo Pictures

Here are some pictures that Hillary (our neighbor/nanny/chauffer/MAJOR helper this summer!) sent from her day at the zoo with the MOPS group from church. The kids obviously had a blast at the splash park and riding the carousel. As Jake would say..."Thanks Heeel (Hill) !" :)

Father's Day 2008

Except for the fact that we forgot to take any pictures of the kids with their daddy on Father's Day (I'm sure that there were no pictures of me and the kids on Mother's Day either so I guess we're even now) we had a great day. After church the kids went down to Hart County with Mom and Dad to visit Granny and Granddaddy Adams and had lots of fun eating lunch and going out to see the cows (I thought the picture of G-daddy and the kids was too cute). Then when they got back to E-town they met us at Aunt Gale's for a cookout, homeade ice cream, and swim party. The kids had a lot of fun swimming (Addison really enjoys "helping" Emery in the pool as you can see) and Jake and the other fellas enjoyed shooting each other (and even some of us outside the pool!) with water guns.
We were kind of duds and didn't get anyone Father's Day gifts or even cards this year, but we certainly are very thankful for our dads and all that they mean to us. And I personally am thankful for the wonderful father that James is to our children and all the sacrifices of time and energy that he has been making on our behalf these past few months while we await the arrival of Miss Anna Laine Williams!

Read to me...

These kids love books...they love having someone read to them and Addison has even started to read to her little brother some of her favorites. Aunt Jennie will be so proud! :) She's mostly reading by sight words and memorizing, but there is definitely some sounding out of words going on as well. She is going to love going to Kindergarten in the fall. Here's a couple of pictures of Granny Adams reading to the kids when they were visiting the other day and Daddy reading Bible stories before bed.

Jake's Haircut

Thanks to Aunt Gale and Aunt Judy for coming by to cut Jake's hair one day last week...he was needing one really bad and actually sat still and everything...it's definitely the best one he's ever had!

Sunny day + Ice Cream = 2 happy Kiddos!
