Addison is loving playing Webkinz on the computer...she's taking very good care of her virtual pet bunny "Milkshake"...she feeds her each day, buys her fancy clothes and jewels, and even puts her down for a nap whenever she's finished playing...sadly that will probably be the only pet poor Addi has for a good while...we've got enough to take care of as it is without any animals running around needing attention! Addi's also right on the verge of learning to read...she's writing lots of words for us to display on the bulletin board (words she's currently writing and in her exact spelling - Addison, Dad, Mom, Jake, Mark, and boobi - don't ask...we're not sure and it's probably best not knowing what she's trying to say), she's sounding out lots of 3 letter words, and trying to read some bigger words too, but I think she's memorizing a lot of those. It's good though and she's really learning most of it on her own or at preschool...I know, that doesn't say a lot for her former first grade teaching mom! :)
Jake is saying lots more words now...you may not understand them at first but he is definitely coming along with his speech. Words he consistently says are - "Mama", "Daddy", "Addi", "juice", "water", "bite" - that's what he calls his pacifier, not something he does much anymore thankfully, "more", "want down", "ooooh gross" - this is not one that is particularly nice to hear him say when you've just put dinner in front of him, but by the looks of him he's certainly finding something that he likes to eat every now and then, "chicken" - whenever we drive by McD's, and "I stuck". He also knows some animal sounds...he growls like a tiger and snorts like a pig...we're so proud! :)
