Saturday morning we went with Aunt Judy to the Heartland Parade to see cousin Mandy march in Central Hardin's band. The kids had a good time...Jake thought the bands and the sirens on the fire truck were a little too loud, but both of them got the hang of catching the candy and suckers that some of the groups passed out as they went by. After the parade the kids went with Grammy and Granddaddy out to the lake for the festival and got their faces painted, rode some rides, and ate lunch (which of course included ice cream) and then headed back home to crash. They both slept all afternoon. Then we went to the Clifford's Heartland Party that evening. The kids played with all of the other boys and girls that were there and enjoyed watching the hot air balloons and fireworks...actually Jake and Granddaddy stayed inside during the fireworks because Jake went a little nuts when the booms and bangs started up! We had a fun day and Mommy was glad to get out of the house and do some "normal" stuff for a change...we're now 36 weeks so I am not totally confined to my red chair I've been sitting in for the past 2 months! :)

Good for you chicky! I agree with Jake... the sirens are too much.
Central's band was awesome... always makes me tear up. Back in my day (boy, do I sound old) we had to march all the way to Wendy's. Central and Etown were the only two band who actually had their guard do something... There's your nerd moment of the day.
So glad you're able to resume some normal stuff and LOVED hearing the piano Sunday--it's not been the same without you!
